Vulnerabilty Lab

SEC Consult has its own "Vulnerability Lab", an internal security research lab, to be always one step ahead of attackers specialised on network- and application security all over the world. The laboratory also supports the high quality penetration tests and helps to evaluate the security of new technologies. All this is performed to offer our customers the latest information concerning vulnerabilities and correct up-to-date conclusions about the risk profile of new technologies.

The results from the research in the vulnerability lab are also committed to the international security community. In the majority of the cases these are vulnerabilities in well known, commercial products and software components.

SEC Consult pursues a very strict "responsible disclosure" policy. This means that software developers are going to be informed exclusively before the vulnerability found in the "Vulnerability Lab" will be published. So the software companies are able to fix the problems together with experts from SEC Consult to provide a working patch before details about the vulnerability get public.
